As the weather gets colder, we are getting into flu season, and moderate levels of influenza A have been detected in Gloucester wastewater. The most effective ways to prevent sickness are getting vaccinated and practicing good hand hygiene. Please remember, if you have a fever, try to stay home and help prevent spreading the virus in our community.
Also consider getting vaccinated to help further prevent the spread! Flu vaccinations are available through several options:
- Public Health Office: Vaccines are available by appointment at 3 Pond Rd. (978) 325-5266
- Local Pharmacies: Flu shots are also available at local pharmacies throughout the area.
Thank you for doing your part to help keep our community healthy!
