To see a memorable exhibit of tiny Cape Ann seascapes, landscapes, and skyscapes by local artist Leigh Slingluff stop by the North Shore Arts Assocation. Her exhibition is currently on display through August 21, 2022. These little paintings are gems and one can’t help but own one and take it home.

Leigh finds inspiration for her plein air paintings when exploring outdoors with her dog & husband, swimming & snorkeling at local beaches, gardening, and just observing the sea and sky in Cape Ann daily. She paints outside with watercolor, gouache, and oils, and when she isn’t outside, she can be found painting in her studio in Gloucester. She is a juried Artist Member of the North Shore Arts Association and the Rockport Art Association & Museum. To experience more of her work please visit: leighslingluff.com, and her most current works are posted on her Instagram:@galobster.
“All of the paintings in my solo show were painted en plein air, at locations around Cape Ann; many at Old Garden Beach in Rockport. I work quickly and paint from direct observation, often with a palette knife and always with colors mixed in the moment.” – Leigh Slingluff
