My View of Life on the Dock

Friday March 18th at the Cruiseport in Gloucester, the Gloucester Rotary Club is having A Night at the Races (NAR). NAR is one of the Rotary Club of Gloucester’s biggest fundraising event and I want to invite anyone who wants to come, to join us.
We are also looking to finalize sponsorships and we are in need of local business gift certificates to raffle away as part of a larger prize. One of the best auction items will be a Golf Foursome with me at Ferncroft Country Club in Middleton!
Please take a look at the event and sponsorship opportunities and do not hesitate to reach out to me if you want to come, be a sponsor or provide something for us to auction off. I will be thanking our sponsors later this week.

CAFM will be moving back to Stage Fort Park this Summer for our 17th market season. We’ve missed our home and are so excited for the season ahead!
Many thanks to our customers and community partners for supporting this move back as well as Mayor Greg Verga, CAO Jill Cahill and former Mayor Sefatia Romeo Theken.
We can’t wait to see you at the market!

We woke up super early on Sunday morning to drive up to Freedom, NH to meet up with the Fish Nerds Guide Service (https://www.facebook.com/FishNerdsGuideService/) for a morning of ice fishing. If you’re looking for a relaxing outdoor activity, in the crisp fresh air, with good people and a beautiful view, this is it. I highly recommend Fish Nerds (who also have a podcast (check out HERE: https://www.podpage.com/fish-nerds-fishing-podcast-1/ ). We’ve spent the day with Clay and Vinnie twice now and have loved it both times. We arrived right at 7:00 a.m. and everything was set and ready to go. A warming tent is available if you’d like, all gear and tackle is ready, and a delicious warm breakfast is prepared right on a skillet on the ice half way through the morning to help warm up for the second half.

Gloucester congratulates the cast of CODA and especially Troy Kotsur for “upending the Oscar race” (quoted from several sources including Deadline.com) at last night’s SAG awards. The cast was presented with the Outstanding Cast award and Troy Kotsur for Best Supporting Actor. Exciting news and well deserved! Congratulations to the entire crew and also to Sian Heder, writer and director. We hope you will all come back to Gloucester!
