Poll: Agree or disagree On Delta’s Proposed National No-Fly List?

Delta Proposed No-Fly List-

Delta Air Lines is asking the Justice Department to put airline passengers convicted of disrupting flights on a national no-fly list, barring them from traveling on any commercial flights, according to a letter obtained Friday by several news outlets.

In 2021, the FAA initiated nearly 1,100 investigations into unruly passenger behavior, more than the number launched in the previous seven years combined. The agency received nearly 6,000 reports of airline passengers acting out, a vast majority of which were related to mask requirements put into place to stem the spread of COVID-19.

Nearly 1,900 people have been put on Delta’s no-fly list for refusing to comply with masking requirements, Bastian said in the letter sent to Garland, according to a copy published by Axios. He added that the airline has called for its aviation partners to share their own no-fly lists to prevent those people from traveling on other airlines.

Kay Ellis Memorial Scholarship Call For Applicants

The Kay Ellis Memorial Scholarship Fund works to ensure the future of the travel and tourism industry in Gloucester, MA and beyond. Kay Ellis, the fund’s namesake, was a pioneer in the hospitality industry on Boston’s North Shore for over 20 years. Her passion and commitment to the industry were unparalleled. To preserve her memory and honor her contributions, the fund was created to award scholarships to students pursuing higher education in the travel, tourism, or hospitality industries.

Morning Routines

My morning routine before heading out the door each day. Fill the giant YETI with coffee, take a mason jar of overnight oats out of the fridge and add a variety of toppings, and then fill my little Blend Jet (check out link here as I think it’s pretty cool!) with some smoothie fixings. Both of my boys have their own Blend Jets as well and will often fill theirs to drink on the way to school or, for Finn, at school as his morning snack. Once they are charged, they are perfect for on-the-go and can be used several days in a row before you need to charge them quickly again. They come apart easily and are a breeze to clean. Short video included of the cordless mini blender doing it’s thing on my desk at work.

Lunch at Cape Ann Coffees

I decided to try the Turkey Rueben sandwich I’ve been craving at Cape Ann Coffees on Bass Ave for lunch recently and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Though I love sloppy Ruebens, this was easily handled by hand without mess or flatware. I had just the right balance of sauerkraut and dressing with the turkey. In short, I loved it. They also have lemonade (a favorite not always available mid winter) despite being a coffee shop. The chocolate cupcake topped off the lunch very nicely. There’s a nice display of artwork for sale (currently exceptional photographer Skip Montello) and brisk business. An intense discussion of local history was occurring at a nearby table which was informative and entertaining. Maybe you don’t think about Cape Ann Coffees for lunch and maybe you should.
