I grew up hearing the legend of Rafe’s Chasm. Supposedly, a family of four stopped on the road there during the 1940’s or 1950’s. The father had to take a bathroom break, so he walked through the woods bordering the chasm and never came back. Very heavy fog. Then the mother sent her son to look for him, but he never came back. Then the mother took her daughter along to find what happened to them. The next morning the whole family was found dead in the water and smashed by waves against the rocky shore. Does this sound familiar? Thanks,
