Another good sign is watch the wildlife their senses are stronger both in Atlantic and on shore. Seagulls and others movements. This would also include domestic animals as they sense a storms too!
Out west the chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks, goats, if in fields would start to come in closer to barns or go under the shelter build in fields or under trees.
