The shovel was handed to “Ed’ as he was being pushed out the door,
he was told to make Gloucester proud…
He set off… Steely eyed into the storm…
Made his first pass on the boulevard…
The shovel broke.
He said “f – – k it !… tossed it into the ocean and went home.
Gloucester sleeps peacefully .
