Why was the coast guard air and water going back and forth along beaches? Looking for sharks? Was a little scary, worried if someone was missing…

I heard of them being around the cape cod area but not so much in Cape Ann…(Their ocean home) – Any reports the coast guard will go out and take a look or sweep…Precautionary part of the job CG.
