I'm Marty Luster, a retired attorney and politician. In 2010 my wife, mother-in-law, dog and I relocated from Central NY to Gloucester. I hope my photographs and poetry(?) reflect my love for this place and her people. My picture-poem posts can be seen at http://matchedpairs.wordpress.com and selected black and white images can be found at http://slicesoflifeimages.wordpress.com View all posts by Marty Luster

In the 1990’s, possibly 1996, the harbor shuttle stopped at Ten Pound Island as part of its regular route. My young grandsons and I packed subs from Virgilios and our art supplies and were “summer artists on Ten Pound Island” until the weather changed with approaching storm and the shuttle returned for us. This is still a fond memory as those grandsons now bring their children to Gloucester to enjoy their maritime heritage.
I miss seeing the old keeper’s house to go with the lighthouse. Let Gloucester natives as well as expats enjoy those islands that can be seen from shore.

You’re very welcome, Allen.
It has truly been my pleasure for nearly the past 6 years and I hope to be part of the great GMG crew for a long time to come.
