Good Morning Gloucester 
I posted this at Sawyer Free library between dory races and extreme croquet this
morning. I did not have time to describe the races.
The weather was beautiful with a light North wind sifting to NE and strengthening
during the races.
The first race, couples , was a cliff hanger won by Jimmy and Laurel by inches from
Elin and Mike. Gino and I on the committee boat called them a second apart but
really it was fractions of a second.
The second race was not quite so close but with all experienced rowers, was
great fun to watch.
The senior open division races on the longer one mile course were great fun.
Rob and Joe beat Jimmy and Tom by a whisker and the others were not far behind.
In the second heat it was again close with Mike and Vito taking the heat. They were
a couple of seconds faster on the course than Rob and Joe but that means little going
into the runoff Monday after work at 6PM.
THE WINNERS WILL MEET THE CANADIANS IN OUR NORTH CHANNEL BY THE STATE
FISH PIER AT *** 10 AM *** ON JUNE 21. PANCAKE BREAKFAST IS PROMISED IN GORDON
THOMAS PARK AT 8 AM .
