A little bit of elbow grease never hurt anyone. Its about time the boys start pulling some weight around the house for pete’s sake.
Loving our new fire pit!! A totally fun afternoon project for VERY little $$$! And…the boys and I were very proud of ourselves…which is a bonus. Had we been thinking we would have saved this project for Father’s Day….damn.

48 blocks x $1.88 each = $91
5 bags of sand box sand x $3.95 each = $9.75
We already had some sand in that area so didn’t need to buy as much as someone starting from scratch
Old drum from a cheap fire pit bought a few years ago… But I think just a bunch of lava rocks would be ok! $37 for a large bag.
Two ice creams at Long Beach Dairy Maid for the cost of labor = $5.00 ish.
Soooo… Well under $200!! And it was an afternoon of fun and bonding with the boys….and now fun and bonding at night with daddy 😉
