I am a live music advocate and seek to share the news of bands playing at local venues in my home town. Being drawn to blues mostly but embrace all kinds of music. One does not have to go over the bridge to hear some real fine tunes, however there are some bands that draw you elsewhere. I hope this blog is a good use to you as it is to me.

Pure Prairie League put on a fantastic show, a throwback to the years when they dominated country rock along with the earlier years of The Eagles. Personally I always preferred PPL’s music and I’m happy to say what the band does now is as good or better than ever. If you are the type who was into country or southern rock, check out PPL, they rocked! Great musicians, the best pedal steel I’ve ever heard courtesy of original member John Call and some ripping lead guitar. I much preferred seeing PPL as the main show as opposed to those Country Rock Legend concerts with bands that can’t bring it like PPL. Stick with a PPL show, you’ll be happy with that.
