Great shot. As a person who grew up on Wonson Cove, it’s great to be reminded of that cottage and the Harbor View hotel. So many great old hotels lost to fire, neglect and changing trends. Thanks for the memories!!

The studio was on Eastern Point Road, where Windward Point is now. It and the hotel were torn down.

It’s the point of land that juts out into Wonson Cove as you go up the hill on Eastern Point Road.

If you follow East Point Road past the entrance to Rocky Neck, Wonson Cove will appear on your right. Along the water’s edge of the sidewalk, there will be a simple white, two-railed barrier fence that runs the length of the public landing there and ends at a stone wall belonging to a private house at the corner of Eastern Pojnt Road and Windward Point [formerly Brazier Court]. Where the white fence meets the wall is roughly the location of where this cottage was. As a matter of fact the fence rail in the photo is very similar to the one that exists today.
The pier you see in the photo’s background was pretty big. It was a raised wooden pier that stretched from the front of the hotel diagonally to the middle of the cove, then doglegged east to low water, so it was well over 100 feet in length. It was probably for loading and unloading guests as they arrived by boat.
