It could never replace a real work of art, but it is Cool.
It could be a useful tool for artists.
Vermeer, Rockwell and others used tools to help them. Rockwell for example would pose models in various poses in his studio and would use an overhead project to place them on his canvas and then sketch their outline.
Vermeer used a Camera Oscura, which used lenses and mirrors to reflect an image on to tracing paper inside a dark booth. Leonardo Davinci was said to have also tried it.
Technology is a great thing but it can’t replace Thick colorful brushstrokes.
