also, i have a question about the paint factory, we at the ocean alliance are looking for people who worked there. we want to interview them and set up an area at the paint factory where their stories about the building can be listened to on tape. we need to find people who worked there and i think we could find many via your excellent gmg blog if you would be willing to post a note about our search for ex-employees there. thanks! look forward to hearing from you, love your blog, john

In partnership with Historic New England’s & Beauport, Sleeper-McCann House, the Ocean Alliance is looking to collect oral histories from those who worked or were associated with The Tarr and Wonson Paint Manufactory in Rocky Neck, Massachusetts.   2. Glad you want to preserve history. But, it is not just all about the building. It is the interaction with the Fleet. And for that matter, the world. You can expand.
    Give Mike Sanborn a call. He can be reached at the Cape Ann Savings Bank Trust Department. He ran the Gloucester Paints retail store for “Big” Jim Abbott at the bottom of Duncan Street where the Gloucester Bank & Trust was. Also ask him about watching the cars come down Duncan St. in the winter, before tires are as good as they are now.
