So, Joey, Voyager is a trawler; does that mean it drags nets? Does it catch more species than Herring? Is it one of the boats that can fish with another? (I heard something about that) And, which boat in the harbor would be an example of a longliner? Maybe in the winter when things slow down, you can do an online boat tutorial, so I know what I’m looking at! (I was raised by a mechanical engineer, I need to know how things work!)

The Voyager is a MID-water trawler it pulls the net behind the boat as opposed to along the bottom if the ocean. The type of herring boat that fishes with another is a pair trawler. The mid water trawlers also fish for mackerel.
I think that answers everything.
