Touch Tanks at Seapocket Lab GMHC

Here students and visitors can touch marine life and get interactive. It’s a great way to bring kids that don’t have any interaction with marine life into the fold.

There are many interesting activities for children and families at the GMHC.

My sister had her kids birthday party there a couple years ago and the kids had a great time.

GMHC Dive Exhibit, originally uploaded by captjoe06.

At the Gloucester Maritime Heritage Center, diver Paul Harling’s collection features equipment ranging from the homemade rig he used when he made his first dive in 1949 to contemporary helmets produced by Morse Diving, the oldest manufacturer of diving equipment.

He even has some one of those huge metal masks set up for kids to put their heads into and you can take photo’s.

His exhibit is open to the public for free 7 days a week and all year long. If you are looking for something to do with the kids or just taking a stroll along the waterfront, go check out Paul’s exhibit at the GMHC. Tell ’em Joey from Captain Joe’s sent you.
