Thank You Linda

Anyone that has been reading the blog for more than a week can probably tell that my spelling and grammar suck ass.

I’d like to thank Linda, a subscriber who sent me a kind note informing me of a spelling error. If any of you folks see a glaring error, don’t hesitate to drop me a note so I don’t look like a total dope.

I was a math guy in school. So all you English nerds please, feel free to help out.

Captain Joe’s Before it was Captain Joe’s

Mark Ring was cleaning out his mother’s house and came across some old publications which he was kind enough to bring down so I could share with you, my loyal readers.

Lo and behold in the course of one week I have seen not one but two photo’s of our dock before it became Captain Joe and Sons.

Click on the pics and select “all sizes” above the picture to see them full size and in greater detail.

Thanks again Mark.

Pamela and Patricia Rooster Video

So I’m grading out lobsters for a restaurant order and I hear cockadooodle dooo and then a pig snorting and then a frog ribbeting.  WTF is that I’m thinking.  I shoulda known.

It’s that crazy Shawn again. Click the picture to see the video.   Oy!

This here is what a brand new lobster trap looks like fresh out of the trap company.

No seaweed or crap hanging off it, just clean as a whistle.

Not for long though.

Old School Door

Old School Door, originally uploaded by captjoe06.

Here is the door walked in and out of gazillions of times by fishermen, dock workers, and family.

You can see the paint at the bottom scrapped away by years of boot kicking. Generally when your hands are covered with fish you kick the door open so you don’t leave any fish juice behind for the next person coming in.

I’m not sure who put the “VOTE FOR PAPI” sticker on the door, probably Frankie.
