Thank you to Roseanne Cody, Rosalie Nicastro, and all the volunteers for organizing the wonderfully fun family breakfast held at the Rose Baker Senior Center on Sunday morning. The center was packed with children eagerly anticipating the arrival of Santa and Friends. Santa did not disappoint and individual photos were taken with all the kids. Rosalie shares that 100 percent of the tickets and raffle sales benefit the Senior Center!

Thank you to Mayor Romeo Theken, Pauline Bresnahan, and Captain Steve Douglass for a super fun tour of Gloucester Harbor this morning. A tour of Gloucester’s harbor aboard the M/V Lady Gillian is a fantastic way to experience the waterfront. It’s actually a shuttle and costs only ten dollars for an adult ticket, children are five dollars, and kids under six ride for free. You can take the round trip, which takes about an hour, or you can ride between destinations, all day long. The Water Shuttle connects Gloucester’s two cultural districts, Harbortown and Rocky Neck, with points of arrival and departure at Maritime Gloucester, The Gloucester House Restaurant, Saint Peter’s Town Landing, and more. Below is a slide show of some of the Houses found in Barra del Colorado. The Village of Barra del Colorado is located on Rio Colorado. The Village is separated by the River, houses shown are from the Northern part of the village. The population is approximately 700-1,000 people for the entire village of Barra del Colorado.
Silver King Fishing Lodge, operated and managed by Roseanne Cody of Gloucester, is the major employer for the village.
