I’m psyched that Willie “Loco” Alexander is joining me this week! Forget this “Godfather” jazz: Willie is the real deal. Anybody with this kind of history is my kind of guy. His jackhammer style spackles all the cracks in the real rock ‘n’ roll pantheon. Makes me feel 20 again!
He’ll be bringing his longtime guitarist, Mr. Billy Loosigian, the phlegmatic, articulate articulator of artifice with him along with that cackling, lightning cracker, Mr. Steve Chaggaris, on the skins. I’ll be on bass, as usual. Stick that safety pin in your brain and dream about the days you never lived through! Hours:8:30 to 11:30.

This Thursday on the Lannon! A Sunset Cruise with ALLEN ESTES & FLY AMERO!! Â Â watercolor by Marilyn Swift
We only do this once a year, folks, so… please don’t miss it!  Sitting on the deck of
the Thomas E. Lannon is perhaps the most elegant way to appreciate the amazing
and beautiful city in which we live. Â Actually, there always seems to be people from
other parts of the country (and world) on board, taking it all in for the very first
time. Â We find ourselves looking at familiar waters through fresh eyes as we hear
their stories from points beyond the island.  But it’s Tommy, Kay and the rest of the
Ellis crew who are the true stars of the show. Â So smooth and professional, you can
hardly tell there’s serious work being done all around you – until you volunteer to
help hoist a sail, that is! Thursday, July 31st

This thursday, let’s welcome back the one and only Octomom of the blues: Ms. Diane Blue. A master of the harp and vocal half pipes, we’re callin’ in a special hazmat team in to deal with the proceedings.

First, there’s Mr. Pete Henderson, a fine, water-cooled 50 caliber guitarist, to chase away your demons, then adding Mr. Joe Bargar, a relentless air hammer, on keys, and Ms. Kathy Berkley, drummbler, to chop some wood for ya. Of course,I’ll be on base. I haven’t had these cats up here for a long while, and I’m really quivering with anticipation. It’ll be great night! 8:30 to 11:30 at the Rummie.

It’s a buzzer beater with my missive this time around: what with house guests and emergency cosmetic surgery, I simply don’t know where the time has gone. If you find it, send it back, postpaid, and I’ll buy you a cherry phosphate. So, let’s go!!
This Thursday at the Rhumb Line we feature that glottal gurgler and all-around nice guy, Mr. Dennis Brennan. A fabulous vocalist and harpist, you oughta see what he can do when I’m not around! He’s bringing along his fleet-fingered stunt double in the form of Mr. Matt Stubbs, on gootar, to add a lot of electrical spice, and Mr. Forrest “Frosty” Padgett to stir the pot.I’ll be on soup bone!
And Sunday evening, from 5 to 8, I’ll be down at the Brew Pub cringing whilst backing up a fabulous singer: Ms. Maureen Benson. Backed up by a bunch of the Old Salties, this portends to be a groovie evening of standards from the good old American Schlongbook. Come and say Hi!
And don’t forget Monday at the Rose Biker Senior Center, where the Good Old Salties rule from 1 to 3. C’mon down and get your pacemakers recharged!

Beautiful evening, filled with expressive dancing, happy children, blues and world fusion music. The Jake Pardee band invited a special guest Dierdra Darrha to share her talent. She was very sweet performing a country kind of song.  I believe the crowd was pleased. Many thanks to Bradley Royds all the sponsors that make this event possible. Especially the sound guys Frank Hawks and John Silveira. Looking forward to the next one.
