2010 Gloucester Fisherman Triathlon Pics from David Cox Part I

I couldn’t be prouder of our coverage of The Gloucester Fisherman Triathlon.

Everyone stepped up to once again bring you the very best coverage of the event all the way from this past winter when we started our interviews with Janda and Judy Destino pumping up the race, Manny getting everyone excited with his pre-race interviews, throughout our live coverage and reporting as well as posting photos of the winners within minutes of them crossing the finish line, Thom Falzarano’s photo slideshow of the beginning of the race with over 70 hi res pictures posted within an hour of the start of the race,Sister Felicia sending in pictures as the race was unfolding, Marty posting his usual journalistic quality scene photography, Ed Collard getting the footage of the race course and calmly describing the scenesOver 500 hi res photos in all, over 5 hours of video coverage, community photos and involvement, and being the very first to report the winners anywhere I’d say I owe the crew a pizza party at the very least.

You Guys Rock and we once again proved that THIS IS THE SOURCE!  GMG BABY!  Here’s the start of the Fantastic camera work by our David Cox!

Gloucester Little League News

Hey Joey – Happy New Year!!!  I wanted to ask if you could post some “Gloucester Little League News” to your blog.  It’s that time again, gearing up for the baseball season.

Thanks so Much!  Cindy Rich

RHS Baseball coach John Parisi is going to host a baseball coaches clinic on Sat Feb.13 in RHS gym.  The clinic will be organized by John but run for the most part by Jason Larocque. Recent clinics Jason ran over Christmas vacation have received very good reviews. The cost is $25 per participant. A notice about this clinic will be run on the Gloucester Times (a notice appeared in Jan. 21st GDT).  Please contact John Parisi if you have any questions. John Parisi- jparisi@rockport.k12.ma.us

Prior to the start of the season, every manager should attend at least one of these coaches clinics to get ready for the upcoming season.  From personal experience I can tell you the time spent is well worth it.  Great ideas on running a practice and teaching baseball fundamentals.  – Dean

Palazola’s Sporting Goods Personalized Monogramming

Palazola’s Sporting Goods Bike Repair and Skate Sharpening

Palazola’s Customizes Any Shirt Or Sweatshirt

I was talking to Jack Palazola from Palazola’s Sporting Goods on Main Street in beautiful Downtown Gloucester and he told me how they can totally customize any shirt you would like with the use of a three part system they have developed. If you look in the photo below you will see three aqua arrows pointing at one t-shirt.

They have separate imprints for “Gloucester” on the top, then any sport logo in the middle and then “Fishermen” down below. They also have the imprints in maroon and white.

So say you wanted a Gloucester football t-shirt in a size medium on a grey colored shirt. They don’t have to stock them in every size, shape and configuration. They can make you exactly what you want just by switching out the color and size of the shirt and exactly the names and sports logo you want in the middle.

Genius!

Palazola’s Sporting Goods Gloucester Cap

Palazola’s carries many different unique Gloucester Sports items like this Gloucester Pro Style G Cap.

There are hundred of customizable shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies and more that Palazola’s can imprint with your favorite Gloucester School sports logo and they can usually do it within a day or two.
