OK girls, lets get here pronto for the U.F.O. mass hysteria sighting of that age-old teen idol: Mr. Evan Goodrow. Front man, Qatarist mais non oui, oui,This guy will have you rocking on your crutches with his marvelous renditions of cult classics, nouveau blues, and Transylvanian folk songs. I sure do admire this man’s dogged nerve and rubber determination. E.G. is one of our faves around these parts, and a splendid show is suspected. We’ve hauled in Mr. Benny Benson, Our Irish Ace of Pace®, afloat since Dunkirk, to handle the the breast-beating. I’ll be on base, hoping for a sacrifice fly. So, put on that Hai-Karate® or Stetson™ and/or wrap dress (or Chinese shoes )and dance the night away while you think about yourself!

This Thursday! The magnificent reappearance of that Maestro of musical mayhem….Mr. J.B. Amero. Soaked in a strong solution of Merle Haggard and held up by a strong belt of scotch, this cat has the ability to make you spill a tear into your beer without dropping a stitch of laughter, or angst.
More so than most, he really brings this town together,as he has done for many years, despite the fact that his bell-bottoms no longer fit like they used to. He doesn’t need ’em anymore! We’re also dragging in Mr. Dave Brown,goo-tarist xtroidinaire and Dave Mattacks, pendulumatic pacemaker to make it all happen. A very special night! I do hope to see you all there, cuz like Dave Brown says: We’re nothing without you!

Dave says,
Well, I’m sitting around the house waiting for the snow to stop and my codpiece to dry, with Weal Of Fortune oozing out of my Elsie D. screen (no sound) and three martinis under my Kuyper belt, biting my toenails and begging for a break.
Rheumer has it that there’s another storm coming on Thursday, but I’m willing to shake my shaman rattle and toss the dicey bones on another outcome: The arrival of Ms. Diane Blue to our stage. OMG, it’s been a while since Miss D., the Octomom® of the blues has been in these parts, and I’m so glad to have her back. Not only that, but she’s bringing along a killer band with some new people to tintinnabulate your eardrums with the latest ghastly sounds.
Firstly, there’s Bobby Gus, a veritable Boston mainstay, on catarrh. First time. Add Joe Bargar, one of my heroes, on keys. Then trip over Mr. Steve Bankuti, who never heard of me, on eggbeaters. First time, too. I’ve been dying to meet and play with these people. I need the thirty bucks. But, seriously, folks, I’m expecting to have a rousing good time waffling through the entire blue spectrum. C’mon out and dance!

Dear Friends,
Once upon time there was a local singer songwriter who got a steady Thursday night local gig.
This was very exciting for her to play weekly with some of the finest players in her little town. One January
Thusday night she had planned to play with her good friend, and, have for the first time, her cousin
as her guest!
Sometimes the best layed plans mean nothing…this singer songer got the flu and couldn’t
perform!
Luckily her friend, Inge Berge, put on his superhero cape and saved the night! THE END

At Katrina’s tonight 1/29 from 7-10PM Inge Berge will be covering for me, so please show him your support and I’ll see you next week!
I’m late again! Poetic licence had expired and had to wait in line for *** tetragrammation**** to re-up my status. So let’s go!
I can’t wait for you to hear this fabulous band: The Good old (Sea)Salty Jazz Band. All 35 of them are showing up on Thursday to wail away your blues!
But seriously, folks there’s only 8 to 11 of us,depending on who has a doctor’s appointment at the time. Looks like there’ll be 10 of us this evening. We’ve been holding SRO concerts at The Rose Baker Senior Center for years, and now that our record sales have gone platinum, it’s time to play the big time! So grab a date (or some prunes), put on those soft shoes and beat me, daddy eight to the bar! and don’t forget to try one of Jeff, the bartender’s famous Metamucil-infused cocktails for the smell of success. Ahhhh.
The Ole Salty Jazz Band play great music at Rose Baker a few times a month. This was shot on Monday March 19th.
