There was fun for all ages. Here one of the dance troupes performs early in the evening.

A recurring comment I heard was that the parents of the kids in the performances went home after the show and got babysitters so they could return once they saw how great the set up was.

I expect even more people next time around.

Testing For The Block Party Slide Show

Watch as Ernie stands next to the image to get an idea of the size and scope of the images on the wall.

Guerilla Art- Undercover Block Party Slide Show Testing

Ernie Morin, Lee Bolton and I perform set up for the first testings of our outdoor projection slide show.

At this point we have no clue if it will work. Questions abound.

Will it be dark enough?
Will the wall we plan to project onto be flat enough?
Will our power supply be sufficient?
Will the projector overheat and crap out?

As of yet we don’t know.

Stay Tuned

Shout Out To Noble Electric, Ringo Tarr and Donna Ardizzoni

Just like to thank the folks at Noble Electric and Ringo Tarr for donating their time and equipment for help with the Downtown Block Party on August 16th.

The whole thing has been set up so far with very little money except for the generous donation from Donna Ardizzoni at Circle Consulting group for banners.

It’s really becoming an organic, community, pitch in and lets have fun organization of volunteers that want nothing but the best for our killer city!

Thanks to the hard work and efforts of Janice Lufkin Shea, Councilor Jacki Hardy, Erika Hansen, Peter and Vickie Van Ness it looks like the request to close Main Street was voted favorably and unanimously to recommend to the full city council the granting of the permit as requested (with conditions).
The block party was voted in favor unanimously last night. 8-0 vote with several councilors expressing their desire to see this type of thing happen more often.
Bring your lawn chairs, get ready to dance and play and enjoy all that is Gloucester community spirit!
We Rock!
