On Monday it started to thunder and lightning late in the afternoon.  Of course, I went and sat in my truck for 5 minutes and the sun came back out.

On Sunday the weather went through many different weather patterns.  We had rain, sun, clouds and sometimes it was raining and the sun out at the same time.  On Shore Road, Sunday afternoon there was a faint rainbow.  Love New England weather.

Looks like a sun dog

Sundogs are colored spots of light that develop due to the refraction of light through ice crystals. They are located approximately 22 degrees either left, right, or both, from the sun, depending on where the ice crystals are present.

When it’s time it’s time. The lifeguard chairs, most of the stairs, and the footbridge are removed every year, and for this season it was at sunrise Sept 14. Rockport DPW is also on top of the storm prep ahead of this weekend’s Tropical Storm warning forecast. They work fast to beat the tides.

I saw this beach chair and thought perfect chair for Schooner Festival weekend. Imagine chairs on the boulevard printed with custom vessels (iconic racers and current ones). The smoke in the sky again from fires in Canada.

september 8- Black SEa and black clouds then blue Sky, no rain or rainbow

When the sea is black, the photo with the blue sky pockets and the clouds like waves–the last sequentially–was unexpected. Note the scale of the Long Beach cottages vs. clouds.

Incredible clouds on Friday afternoon

As I was sitting on the beach around 3:00 on Friday the clouds came directly over and around us.  Very cool.
