I did some digging and I found some info on a Artist whose work I Love. Her Name is Debbie Clarke. If you have ever have the chance, stop by the Cape Ann Museum and see her “Fish Paintings” Joey has posted some of those in the last few weeks. Photos don’t do her works Justice. She works in Mixed Media; Glass, Canvas, Egg Tempera, Gold Leaf and more. Joey will have a Video up of her painting me in the Nude soon. Not! Actually She will be doing a “Gesture Painting” I’m really looking forward to it. Here’s a few Examples of her Work and some Links you can follow her on. She’s also on Facebook.
Right now Debbie’s work “Chorus Line” is in The Saatchi Showdown, a online art competition. You can vote for Debbie’s entry until Sunday.

From the site-The Gloucester New Arts Festival was founded in 2005. Inspired by the complex landscapes of the historic fishing port, Director Sarah Slifer has been bringing compelling, exploratory artists to make and show work in the downtown area. The variety of sites- indoor and outdoor, old and new – have helped to shape the way the public experience the work, and sometimes shape the work itself.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Gloucester Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, and by the Society for the Encouragement of the Arts (seARTS) through the Massachusetts Cultural Council John and Abigail Adams Grant for Cultural Economic Development.

In addition there is, like I mentioned above, artwork plastered all over Main St (or will be by mid afternoon today).
Perhaps you’d like to do a few shots of that. We art starting at Sage Florist down near Dunkin Donuts and will be in almost every business window down to Virgilio’s. Bank Gloucester is going to get covered head to toe in the parking lot lobby entrance as well as Main St and Pleasant St. corner windows. Vernon Martin Real Estate down near Dunkin Donuts will have a ton of work in their windows as well.
We are looking for as much coverage as we can get, really trying to get the whole community involved, not just the students parents and families, any help would be appreciated.”
