My View of Life on the Dock
July 4, 2024

Cloudy with a threat of rain did not keep the Magnolia Parade from being fun.

On a windy Friday afternoon on Stacy Boulevard the flags were waving.

Just a reminder that the Magnolia Community Farmers Market will be closed for the fourth of July. Enjoy your holiday.

Rockport’s Annual 4th of July bonfire is pretty special. We almost didn’t go this year. I’m glad we decided to stick with tradition and keep the party bus rolling.
Thank you to the firefighters who helped keep the towering flames in check to keep everyone safe!

Missing a part of the horribles parade…will try to correct later….

Get a front row seat for Gloucester’s Horribles Parade broadcast LIVE for the first time on Facebook. The special coverage will be cohosted by Kory, owner of the Bridge Cape Ann, and Pauline Bresnahan, owner of Pauline’s Gifts, from a booth above the parade at lovely Gloucester Tavern on the Harbor and boulevard. Suprise guests and special reporters from along the parade route will join in with the emcees.

A great way to spend the 4th is in Gloucester Harbor hop-on-hop-off water shuttle operated by Cape Ann Harbor Tours.
A fun night!!
The view from the Beauport Hotel restaurant looking towards Stage Fort Park. Happy 4th of July!

I thought the fireworks this fourth extra stupendous. If you agree, the Gloucester Fireworks Committee is looking for donations, small and large, for the fireworks display during Schooner Festival over Labor Day Weekend. If you haven’t already contributed, they would appreciate your help. You can donate by clicking here or sending a check to:

A few more
It’s always amazing to drive around town the morning of the Fish Town Horribles Parade and see all the empty chairs and decorations! All of these shots were taken with my iPhone while fighting through traffic to drop off stuff at our GMG party corner. So this one is for all those folks who are not home, or moved out of town, enjoy! Now stop by the GMG tent and party with us!!!
Part 2 tomorrow…
