My View of Life on the Dock

Hi Joey,
A Press Release:
I created a Poster to celebrate the 400th Anniversary of Gloucester, MA. It would be great if this is appears in time for Fiesta in color. I thought it would be fun to create a colorful image to celebrate Gloucester. Initially, I created a Linoleum Block Print. which I had Cape Ann Giclee make into a Poster. The image includes the iconic Gloucester Town Hall, the Seagulls, Our Lady of Good Voyage, St. Peter, A Schooner, representing The Schooner Festival , the local Schooners and the fishing vessels in general, the fish and the Ocean. You can find these Posters at the local
Businesses: Pop Gallery, Art & Antiques and Alexandras Bakery on Main Street. Also, you can find the Poster at Gloucester Stage and The Building Center Gift Shop. In one of the images that I am sending
I am wearing a dress from Pop Gallery.
Thank you,
Elizabeth Harty
Cape Ann Artist

If anyone wants to carry an oar in the Sunday Fiesta procession we will be gathering at the Oak to Ember restaurant on Rogers Street. It is adjacent to St. Peter’s park. White top if possible but not required. Try to be there no later than 11 if possible. My number is 508-284-9461 for more information. Parents are always welcome to walk along with us to help out. Come be a part of a Fiesta tradition!

Thanks to a tip from FOB Susan LaRosa, I was able to hustle down to the Fort in enough time to catch this spectacular show. Four of our schooners were together out on the water maneuvering around each other as if on the playground at recess: Adventure, Ardelle, Isabella and Thomas E. Lannon. What a wonderful sight! Looking forward to a great season ahead as well as the Rendezvous event at Maritime July 6-9!!

Pastoral…

How lucky are we to live in a city that has schooners. The Ardelle and The Lannon were sailing through the harbor on Sunday. The Adventure will start sailing this weekend.

Sharing information about a parking update/restriction on Webster Street starting tomorrow Wed June 21 2023:

Many of you probably noticed the large yacht anchored in the harbor yesterday and some of you took note of the helicopter flights in the area as well. We were fortunate to spend time with our friends Susan and Leo on their docked boat and could observe the goings-on in the harbor in the late afternoon. This included the Ardelle returning from a sail with the helicopter as backdrop. The copter seemed to return to the yacht, land briefly and then take off again. The Ardelle, the lighthouse and the copter made for an interesting photo opportunity.
