Pat D’s Photos has a limited number of wall calendars available featuring photos taken in the past year highlighting favorite spots around Cape Ann. They are $25 and will be available during shop hours this week Wednesday Nov 26 11-3 and Friday 11-5. Saturday we will be at the Cape Ann Makers Market at Cruiseport on Rogers St 10-4 and Sunday at the Minglewood Market on Rogers Stfrom 11-3. Stop by or reach out if interested. After walking at sunset, noticed that the sky turned very dark except for a line over the ocean.  Had my day lights on and saw the lights were shining on a couple kayaks still tied up.  So pretty.  We are so lucky to live here.

Frank Kavanagh will be at 80 Main Antiques and Ephemera taking tintypes on Saturday November 29th and Sunday November 30th.

Appointments are available on the half-hour from 11-5 both days.

Tintype package is $65 and includes the following:

One 4×5 tintype, a thumb drive with the digital version of the actual tintype, 2 5×7 high quality prints and one 8×10 print.

Two packages cost $100.

This is the same process as was done in the 1850s and 1860s.

Frank uses an antique camera for an historically accurate image.

On Thursday afternoon the bridge was up for a large sailboat.  Looked over and noticed lots of ducks about to play in the current.

North Shore favorite and acclaimed singer-songwriter Chelsea Berry returns to Hammond Castle Museum for two special holiday concerts on December 6 and 7.Presented in the Castle’s historic Great Hall, these performances offer an intimate, atmospheric way to begin the winter season.

Berry — known for her soaring, soulful vocals and evocative songwriting — will be joined by celebrated cellist Kristen Miller, whose rich, cinematic arrangements have become a beloved complement to Berry’s sound. Together, they will perform selections from Berry’s holiday album Ring the Bells, along with seasonal pieces and songs that reflect themes of joy, light, and togetherness.

Saturday, December 6 at 7:00pm — Evening Performance
A classic December night in the Great Hall. Guests may choose a VIP ticket option that includes preferred seating, a meet-and-greet with the artist, and a complimentary glass of champagne. The Castle will be fully decorated for the season, creating an elegant backdrop for this signature holiday event.

Sunday, December 7 at 5:30pm — Early-Evening Holiday Concert
A beautifully lit winter performance in the glow of the Castle’s December décor. This early-evening concert offers the full program in a slightly more relaxed atmosphere, with special pricing available for guests under 18. A perfect way to close the weekend and welcome the holiday season.
