My View of Life on the Dock
Not one, not two, but three ocean sunfish basking on the surface from Thachers to Halibut Point. The last time I saw more than one sunfish in a day was 1972. I didn’t see a striped bass for the next 12 years. And it was also wall to wall jelly fish. Very clear water, nothing but jellyfish.
What a great day to volunteer and enjoy this fun event. As always had a great time and these bikers get me motivated.

Sharon photographed the Furthur crew at breakfast. She and husband Chuck gave them their table for the bus crew. Ken Kesey’s son Zane sits center waving his hand. Sharon and Chuck leave tomorrow for home. I got to know what wonderful and generous people they are… and like me, they’re adventurous. Fair winds and smoothe seas, my friends forever.

Had a very nice visit yesterday at the gallery with Pete and Pam Beardes who had just arrived in Gloucester from Charleston, SC. Pete is an avid GMG FOB who was stationed here with the Coast Guard from 1986-88, during which time he painted the Annisquam Lightkeeper’s house (among other things). Enjoy your stay Pete and Pam, and come back soon!

My father who was a Fisherman since he was 12 years old told me the Sicilian Gloucester Fisherman would always sing this song while they were seining. It has great meaning for me.
