Thank God it finally stopped snowing. Check out what Chris did this morning…
Keeping up a path for folks with dogs.
Good People.
Chris and Casandra Boyd.
The Boat Show is definitely one of my favorite events. So fun, Rick and I are very happy with our kayaks but is always fun to fantasize..
That is all…

Joey has a fantastic idea going on here! Shovelers Needed vs. People Looking To Earn $$ and Help Out Others. No Brainer. I’ll be the 1st to sign up my boys when they’re a tad bit older!
Check Out His Post Here if you’re interested!
Saw this and couldn’t help but chuckle. Sadly, a sign of the times for sure.
I haven’t ventured out of the house yet this morning, but I can tell you this much…. It is WINDY!
We have had just over a foot of new snow fall since Neptune started yesterday afternoon. Lots of news channels in town including Channel 7 and CNN. Chris Anderson from 7 News just said, “Rockport has been a Rock during this last storm.”
We’ve been judging the ridiculousness of it all by the size of the massive snow drift in the back corner of our yard. It is now many inches over our fence and prime for more stand-up sledding in a little while. We have also been laughing at the scary dorsal fin that has been rising from the depths of the snow on our deck.
Our front yard looks OK…nothing crazy out there yet. My Jeep is not covered, the deck has some new accumulation, and the driveway has been plowed in with a couple of new feet of snow.
It was exciting to come home yesterday and find the National Guard taking care of our street. Smith Road had become so narrow that I had to do a 3 point turn to get in and out of our driveway. Likewise, we had suffered a couple of stand-offs when faced with oncoming cars on our little street. Really nice guys out of Vermont. One commented on the fact that despite the crazy amounts of snow, Rockport looked like a nice little town. We told him to come back during the summer for sure.

Joseph H. “Joss” Whedon (1964- )
The grandson, son and brother of screenwriters, Whedon is perhaps best known as the creator of the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, although he also co-wrote Toy Story, and is the co-founder of the production companies Bellwether and Mutant Enemy. He wrote and directed The Avengers, the third highest grossing film of all time. Through his collaborations with Marvel Comics and Marvel Studios he created several series of graphic novels and sequential films sharing a common “universe” and themes centering on feminism, anti-authoritarianism, existentialism, and the importance of community. Winner of the Emmy and Saturn Awards, Whedon created the sci-fi cult-classic Firefly series and its follow-on movie Serenity.
Forty six years ago, almost to the day, the Blizzard of 1969 visited us. It dropped a mere 20 inches of snow. This is Gloucester’s DPW yard on Poplar Street, with National Guard and police vehicles in the yard and on the street. I think I see an armored personnel carrier on the right. The so-called “Lindsay Blizzard” killed 94 people. Mother Nature has a way of repeating herself, as does history.
