Are you a creature of habit?

Yea I’m the weirdo in aisle 13 smelling all the laundry detergent. Growing up my mom ONLY used Tide. Now, I go for whatever smells better. Watch out if there’s a new cool looking label i’ll smell them all.

Do you stick with one brand for detergents? or really anything else for that matter?

Marketing for Artist and Photographers at Cape Ann Giclée

Print

Many of the artists that print with us opt to be represented in our marketing initiatives to sell prints. Call (978) 547-7070 or email info@capeanngiclee.com us to get started on using our free marketing initiatives or set up an appointment to talk about an affordable website to sell your work. Our marketing and website initiatives include:

1- Making your prints available for sale in our online gallery, artists set their own price, we print and ship the prints and charge printing costs, shipping costs and a 20% commission. There is no fee to be included in our online gallery. This service is FREE. You can see the Gallery here –

http://www.capeanngicleeshop.com/product-gallery

2- We offer websites for artists and photographers who would like us to do their print fulfillment. Websites include hosting and a robust ecommerce solution that is tied to our print fulfillment and automatically loads pricing and sizing into your website making uploads of new images easy for you. You use your own custom url ensuring that any SEO you generate for your website is yours. Prices start at $199/year and we have found the $199/year website to be large enough for all the artists we print for but larger options are available and we are happy to go over those with you. For customers who place an initial all at once print order of $1200 with us we waive the $199 website fee and if the customer maintains at least $1900/year in print orders with us we continue to waive the fee.

3- Many artists and photographers have their own websites, they may, however, find it cumbersome to get an order from a customer, forward the order to us, pick the print up from us, and ship it out to the customer. We can show you how you can let your website do the work for you and have your website let us know when you get an order so that we can print it and ship it for you even if you are away on vacation, that way you will never have to worry about keeping your customers satisfied while you are away. We even include your marketing materials and use you business name as the return address so your customers don’t even know it’s coming from us. This service is FREE

4- Our studio space doubles as a gallery space and we gladly show the work of our clients in our gallery space, have a one man show or get together with other artists and do a group show, original works of art are welcome as long as you are willing to take giclee orders for your original art and any photo prints must be printed by us. Call us or stop by to talk about showing your work in our gallery. This service is FREE

MAGNOLIA ROAD RACE – June Registration Special

Magnolia Road Race Committee is pleased to announce our 39th annual 5K and 1K Fun Run will be held on Saturday August 29.

Good Morning!

The Race Committee is pleased to announce our 39th annual 5K and 1K Fun Run will be held on Saturday August 29.

We hope you will join us again this year and bring the entire family to Lexington Avenue for a morning of fun and competition.  As an early enticement, we are offering a third off the 5K race day fee if you sign up before the end of June.  You will find the registration link with more information at www.magnolialibrary.org

The 1K kids Fun Run is still $5.00 and includes entry to the pancake breakfast.  All kids get a medal for participating.

There are cash prizes for the 5K and its first 100 entries will get a free running shirt.  These are always long gone by race day, so please register early.

The Gloucester Police Department is again planning to have a touch-a-truck after the race.  The bouncy house was a huge hit last year and will be back.

The Joe Nadeau Band will be performing live at the start and finish lines.  The band was killer last year and shouldn’t be missed whether you are running or not

Best Wishes

Randy O’Neil

I added 4 tablespoons of salted butter to the zest and juice of one medium lemon for the lemon butter which I’d add to the grilled asparagus-

Craig outdid himself with these gorgeous grilled Italian sausages with the peppers and onions.  He kept adding beer to the cast iron pan to achieve the perfect coloring.

Although we had access to the Huge Smokin’ Jim’s Smoker, we opted for Eric’s 20 year old Weber  with melted off handles.  Used Royal Oak Lump Charcoal.  (I didn’t hear anyone complaining)

At Last!

The Schooner ADVENTURE  held an open house on Saturday to celebrate the the issuance of a final certificate inspection by the U.S. Coast Guard. The approval to carry passengers on sailing trips caps a 27 year, 5 million dollar effort to restore ADVENTURE , built in 1926, to seaworthy condition. It last fished in 1953.

The restored vessel will serve as a base for extensive educational programs focused on Gloucester’s history as a major fishing port. It will also be available for charter for trips of up to four hours.

ADVENTURE  joins the schooners THOMAS E LANNON and ARDELLE  as the stars of Gloucester’s growing schooner fleet.

What do you do?

In this particular situation I’m at the hair salon. There are 6 chairs, 3 on each side and no one sitting in them. Which chair do you choose?

I chose the one on the end, the next person chose to skip a chair and so forth. So now there are 3 chairs open because people skipped a chair.

There are people standing because there are “no chairs”. Why do you think that is? People scared of germs? invading space? antisocial?

If you notice this is a common theme in our lives. Just another thing I ponder sitting here with no one near me.

Gator Bites

jolly gator fish camp

Now that people here are snowless and warm again and shouldn’t hate on me for doing so, I wanted to share a few photos and adventures from Florida.  My mother and I were driving state road 46 in Geneva, FL on our way to Sanford to take the auto train, in the middle of nowhere, Florida, when we came across a long bridge spanning the St. Johns River and saw way off the road, the first sign of civilization we had seen in some time.  It required a white knuckle hairpin turn at 55 mph off single lane 46 to get onto the dirt access road to reach it, but the trip to Jolly Gator Fish Camp was so well worth it.  If you ever find yourself on or near State Road 46 in Geneva, FL (not far from Cocoa Beach), don’t miss the opportunity to stop.  The food and view are amazing, and the staff were so warm and wonderful.  We had grilled gator bites (so yummy!) and Florida Cabbage (equally delicious). https://plus.google.com/116287532652489782461/about?gl=us&hl=en
