CATA Trolley is Fun
I decided to jump on the trolley with my mother as it came through Rocky Neck on Sunday and take a little hands free tour of Gloucester. Since we are both seniors now, it was a fun little excursion that only cost $1.00. Jessica is the driver, and she is very sweet. I plan to take it again to go to Stage Fort Park for a walk and picnic lunch. It is nice not to have to drive, especially on weekends when if you leave Rocky Neck, there is a good chance you won’t be able to park when you get back.

Were’s the Blood?
I’ve been under the weather in the blood count department, with almost five transfusions in the last week, which weakened me greatly. I’d love to talk to everyone.
Blackburn Challenge Outrigger Canoe Video
Hi Joey,
My lovely wife, Mary Kay, Cindy Perry and Scott Tyrrell paddled a 4-person outrigger canoe in last week’s Blackburn Challenge. We belong to Boston Outrigger Racing Association and our club was well represented in this year’s event. The 4-person outrigger is called “The Duke” and had a couple of GoPro’s running. As you know, the seas were big and there was plenty of adventure! Our “ama” or outrigger filled up with water and we had to drain it on the beach in Gap’s Cove. We had a terrific race and hope Good Morning Gloucester enjoys our video!
Sweet or Sour
We spied this graffiti on a rock on Straitsmouth Island while hauling lobster traps the other day.
I’m feeling kind of torn about it. While the sentiment is sweet (right?)….it’s still legitimate vandalism isn’t it…kind of sour? Or is it just innocent fun? Maybe it will wash away soon? Or is it there forever…or at least a really, really long time?
I remember judging how far we were in our weekly trips to my grandparents’ house when I was little and living “up the line” by the familiar graffiti on the rocks along Route 128. Certainly graffiti has its place in our culture, but is a beautiful island sanctuary the right place?
I don’t know. Thoughts?

Kate started working out using the Beachbody Workout. She feels great, loves the products and the workouts and that’s why she became a Beachbody Coach. I can attest to her being totally motivated by the workout and the challenges and most importantly the results. I’m 100% convinced that it works big time. If you would like to talk to her about it here’s the link to find out more.
