Driving home several nights ago, I passed Saint Peter’s Square at the moment the Ardelle was passing by and just had to turn around and take a snapshot of this beautiful pinky schooner in the golden late day light. For only one week more, you can purchase at Maritime Gloucester (or online at https://maritimegloucester.org/shop) discounted pre-season passes for the Ardelle.

Who is Matt Harding? He’s the viral-video guy who travels around the world and dances his signature goofy dance with the locals. His endearing and moving dance videos have garnered over 100,000 million views on YouTube. Here are some of his most recent hits:
Now Matt is coming to Gloucester to dance with us! On Friday, May 20th at 6:30p, he will be dancing with us at the Fisherman’s Statue on the Boulevard. If we get a lot of enthusiastic dancers, we might make it into his next video, to be seen by millions!
Very Important: Matt is looking for dancers who get it, and are eager to dance. So please show up only if you can let yourself go and get into the spirit of goofiness.
If that sounds like you, please show up at 6:00p for dancing at 6:30p. See you then!
OK, UB88, looks like a Navy Landing Craft named after Patrick T Kennedy. Was he 87 last year? But now?All About the Buoy. I get it.This one was missing from the lineup last year. It consistently cracks me up every time I see it. Evvy and I do, “Bob Loblaw’s Law blog!” over and over as we head down the Annisquam.

Everybody’s been bugging me: when you gonna bring back that fabulous guy: Mr. Brian Templeton. Well, here he is. Brian never fails to amaze me with his great tunes and urgent vocals. Plays guitar and harp, too.
Not only that, but he’s dragging in the ferocious Mr. Billy Loosigian and the Norden Bombsight of the drums: Mr. David Mattacks. I’m gonna stand there with my wooden chair and bullwhip and try to keep these cats on the earth. Rhumb Line Thursday 8:30 to 11:30.

The air will be filled with fun as Mayor Martin J. Walsh and the Boston Parks and Recreation Department bring the first-ever Boston Bubble Festival to Boston Common on Saturday, May 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Building on the popularity of “Bubble Guy” Jim Dichter’s presentations at previous Parks Department children’s events, the Boston Bubble Festival will offer free outdoor activities in and around the historic Parkman Bandstand at 167 Tremont Street.
“Children have always loved playing with the bubbles at our festivals in Franklin Park so we decided to dedicate a day to this fun activity and bring it downtown to Boston Common,” Boston Parks Commissioner Chris Cook said.
The celebration will include giant floating bubble demonstrations, “make your own bubbles” stations, exploration of the science of bubbles with the Museum of Science Boston, an appearance by The Inventor Mentor (www.inventormentor.org), children’s fitness activities, and entertainment from a DJ, juggler, and magician.
The Boston Bubble Festival is presented by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department with sponsors Uncle Bubble, Massachusetts WIC Nutrition Program, Fisher College, HP Hood LLC, Disney’s “Alice Through The Looking Glass,” Disney-Pixar’s “Finding Dory,” Columbia Pictures’ “The Angry Birds,” and partners Magic 106.7, WERS-FM, and “Bubble Guy” Jim Dichter.
