The research vessel Fugro, which which attracted attention passed Cape Ann mid-day Wednesday heading in the Boston direction, returned this evening heading Down East from Eastern Point.

Be the reason someone smiles today. I know that the whole “random act of kindness” thing isn’t exactly new and that no one really needs me telling them to spread cheer, but I wanted to tell you a super quick little story anyway….
Yesterday, a person who I adore and respect immeasurably left me a voice message thanking me for something that I did….that, really wasn’t a very big deal at all. In his message he told me how special it was and called me a, “Bloody Star.” I mean, come on. It totally made me smile and, quite honestly, made my day.
So, be someone’s little boost today. Be the reason someone smiles unexpectedly today. Shoot a super nice text, send an email letting someone know that you appreciate them, leave a super nice voice mail….or, better even still, tell someone in person how great they are. Make someone’s day.
If, by chance, someone does something nice for you or makes you smile by surprise, feel free to tell us about it here. Good stuff.

By puck drop last night Mama Osprey was skating on three eggs. Now the wait begins. Who finishes first? By June 15 there may be a Bruin Stanley Cup Trophy and three baby osprey. The over/under is set now for June 9, I’ll take the over.

These beautiful birds just beg to be photographed and observed. I can’t stop!

At Magnolia Harbor the moorings are being put it. Also a good sign that the pier should be completed by summer.
