Our morning schedule has been a bit different this week and Finn and I have been finding ourselves driving through Rocky Neck each morning before I drop him off. While many of the homes are empty this time of year it is pretty bustling down in the railways and waterfront. Getting ready for summer.

Join us on Wednesday for our next Women’s Networking Event!
We want to create a space for women to come together, and share in the power of storytelling. This week we’ll hear from Jill Brown, and the story of how she overcame unexpected challenges in life with the help of her community and Wellspring House. We’ll also have a raffle with prizes like a massage from Life Bloom, a 5 Class Pass to Treetop Yoga and more!
For more information check out our event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/652452728861265/
Or send RSVPs to rsvp@grandbanksbp.com
We’re looking forward to seeing you here!

Stops included many that are recognizable: Man at the Wheel statue, Good Harbor Beach, Rockport Motif, Halibut Point State Park, Ipswich Bay and Plum Cove Beach. There are many others, of course, but I was just focusing on the scenic ones most easily accessible by visitors. It’s a great ride to take even on a slightly hazy, foggy day in late winter.
Photos of the full Super Worm Moon rising and setting.
Called the Worm Moon because the ground begins to soften and earthworms reappear, inviting Robins to our gardens. Among many names, March’s Full Moon is also called the Sleepy Moon, Sap Moon, Crust Moon, Lenten Moon, and Crow Moon.

The Exchange has served the community for over 68 years by donating its profits for the maintenance of the historic buildings of the village: Village Hall, Village Church, Leonard School, Library and Firehouse. The Exchange also supports the Good Neighbors Program and the village’s Mt. Adnah Cemetery. Annisquam is one of the oldest and best-preserved villages in Gloucester. The Annisquam Exchange was established to insure that the history, architecture, art and community of Annisquam will be preserved for future generations. The Exchange began in the old Firehouse, which is now a museum preserving Annisquam’s 384 (1630) year-old history; the Exchange moved to its present location in the equally historic Leonard School in the mid 1940’s.

Several of us enjoyed a delicious dinner at the new Oliver’s on Main Street in Gloucester the other night. We shared several salads and appetizers before ordering lots of sushi and a few entrees to also share…. and then some espresso martinis and desserts. Everything was delicious and I’ll happily go back again. Give it a try!

Second Glace opened its bookstore, Off the Wall, within its own walls on Pond Street a few days ago so I stopped by to take a look. I found a warm, inviting space FULL of books, music and movies available at very reasonable prices. Adult books sell for 75 cents, childrens books 50 cents; CDs and DVDs are $1 (though DVD seasons are a little higher).
I saw many current titles available and the staff (thanks Laurel and Susan) is friendly. The sales support the Open Door; it’s definitely a win-win. Stop in and shop a bit.
