GloucesterCast Virgins- Jamie and Ken- Death Row Sub/Meal
What is your best guess as to when yo’ll be serving food inside the restaurant?
Ken how did you get your start in the restaurant industry and what led you to Gloucester.
Both Eric and Ken ran restaurants out of he East Gloucester Location where Duckworth’s is located.
Eric can you tell me how you came to be there and what was your progression of Gloucester restaurant locations?
Cape Ann Brewing To Start Take Out Menu Friday
Jamie seems like he was the most naturally groomed to be a professional behind the counter that there has ever been. Did you have any training and what qualities to you makes a great bartender?
If you are eating at your own restaurant what is your favorite dish that people don’t necessarily order but they should?
Outside of your own restaurants and any of each other restaurants here what are your favorite meals in Gloucester and one on the North Shore that people probably don’t know about?
Took a walk before the rain and wind on Sunday, Shore Road never disappoints.

Here’s some good news for this dreary windy day: Cape Ann Brewing will be opening for take out Friday May 1. Here’s the link for the menu which includes some grocery items such as paper towels, gloves, flour, bleach, Virgilio’s Bread and other items.
It also includes some very interesting menu choices such as Pulled Pork, Wings, Burger and Steak Bomb. New (at least to my eyes) are “build your own” choices (chicken, haddock among additional items) and dinners for 4: Roast Chicken and Mac & Cheese!
My mouth is watering already. Follow their Facebook page for updates and further info. I am so excited!!

Listen we can’t let pretender North Shore wannabe cities win these awards. The hardware for “Best Of” needs to stay here in Gloucester, Essex, Rockport and Manchvegas. I’ll leave this stickied to the top of the blog through the week so people can find it!
Northern cardinals appear regularly in our backyard and I consider ourselves blessed to be part of their world. It’s hard not to be fascinated by the bright red males, but the females hold their own particular beauty. Symbols of hope and renewal, it seems appropriate now to share these with you. Many people believe cardinals indicate a departed loved one is nearby and watching. I think we could all use some help throughout this trying time.

Thank you to Paul Horovitz for capturing this lovely shot of the last light over Ipswich Bay the other night.

Bread Making- Pizza making
Pat Dalpiaz Topics:

When I was a kid and my mother would drop us off at our Grandfather Joe Popcorn’s store I could wait for the warm Virgilio’s bread to come in. My grandmother would cut it in half and add EVOO, salt and pepper to the warm bread. Man that was delicious.
So that’s what I did to yesterday’s bread-
