Beginning Monday, restaurants will be able to seat up to 10 people at a table, and can serve food at the bar, according to Gov. @CharlieBakerMA this morning.

Good News, It’s Fall

I mean, if the weather has to get colder, let’s look on the bright side. It’s time for pumpkin beer with a shooter of caramel vodka and either a sugar or cinnamon rim….or up your game with a some straight up caramel squirted into the glass. A good friend made me one (or two) of these the other night and they certainly hit the spot.

Magnolia Pier closed

Magnolia Pier is closed to the public, until further notice.  Probably too dangerous with the wave and shaking, especially on the float and going up and down the ramp.  The float did not make it, it did not look good earlier,

 

We Finally Made It To The Office At George’s And It’s Everything I Wanted It To Be And More

When Dean Salah told me this was coming last winter he described a cozy spot with reasonably priced comfort pub type food with some TV’s to watch teh game and meet with friends.

It hits on all those points and then some but what I regret not asking him who designed and built the space out because it’s really beautiful inside. Warm and inviting and just absolutely what I’d call cool and hip.

What a long way Dean has taken what was already a Gloucester institution with George’s coffee shop and brought “The Office” into what you might find in a bougee Brooklyn neighborhood.

I absolutely love the place.

Considering that Hurricane Teddy was over 350 miles away, the waves were very impressive.

Glad the Magnolia Pier is 2 feet higher.

Parker River Wildlife Refuge

We took a ride up to Parker River Wildlife Refuge in Newburyport on Sunday.

 

What a beauty of a day, the wind was blowing pretty hard the waves were large.  You could actually see the riptides coming in over the sand.  There were many egrets and the views were beautiful.
