GHS Gloucester Fishermen boys varsity soccer are 8-2-1 bound for Swampscott (away) today, looking to cinch playoffs. Boys & girls sports team alternate home vs. away. Tonight Gloucester Fishermen girls varsity soccer home game is their “Senior Night” 6pm at GHS New Balance-Newell stadium.

Senior Night, honoring the senior players, is not always last home game. Check the full calendar below!

Barns Along the Byway in Manchester

Our drives along the Essex Coastal Scenic Byway usually take us north toward Rowley, but this time we decided to go in the opposite direction toward Beverly in search of barns along the byway. And we found this MAGNIFICENT example in Manchester. If barns were royalty, I think this might be a monarch. Very majestic while functional. It is lovely to look at.

We explore the nine arms of movement in Nia with this routine: Yoga, Tai Chi, Taekwando, Aikido, Jazz, Modern, Interpretive Dance, Alexander Technique and Feldenkrais Movement. Son’t know what some of these movement forms are? Well you will have to come to class to find out!

These Lobster Cakes From Yankee Trader Seafood At Stop and Shop For $2.99 Are actuall Good

When we got them I had very low expectations. I am after all a lobster snob. But I gotta tell you I cooked them offset the coals on my Weber kettle at the dock and they tasted great. $2.99 for a package of two is an absolute steal.

I should have taken a picture but we scarfed them down before I thought to capture it 🙂

Barns Along the Waterway

This barn is so magnificent that I am going to alter my normal barn-post rules to include the Proctor Barn on Choate (Hog) Island as a “Barn Along the Waterway”. It’s very large and majestic especially when seen in the warm light of late afternoon from the water.
