Brick cladding exterior renovation underway on a ‘for sale’ commercial building spanning Main Street to Rogers, 21 Main Street, with tenants Mystery Train and St. Peter’s Club. Before and In Progress photos below.

Multi story major building prep foreshadowed extra weight

Note the architectural details developing like the decorative pattern emphasized by quoins (pronounced “coins”) toothed (staggered), lighter in color, and running 2/3 the full height (at this point) where the building edges meet.

Stay tuned for the After photos.
Someday I’m going to pull my sailboat up to my houseboat.

Here are some views from around town taken at or near high tide this week. I understand these can sometimes be referred to as King Tides which is a non-scientific term for “very high tide” so it’s perfect for me (non-scientific). These are taken from Essex Ave, Dolliver’s Neck Freshwater Cove and Good Harbor Beach. I was amused by the message painted on the footbridge handrailing (too long to get in one shot) indicating that picking up dog poop and putting it in a bag and then leaving it behind is an indicator of poor mental health. Also non-scientific…….

On Sunday after the great win for the Patriots the sunset was so incredible. It changed for blue and reds to orange. So blessed to be able to see these sunsets every night.

Dead low…

I love my new gift from Joey C! Even though I do not consider myself a birder, it has been pointed out to me that I could, indeed, be a bird nerd, so I will be leaning into that from now on. Thank you Joey! (GMG magnetic car stickers from Ipswich River Craft)

The first Nor’Easter of the season left it’s mark on our winter storage home this past week. A huge tree fell across the tent and crushed the entire structure as well as one of our dories. The tree has been removed, but the debris remains.
This Saturday, Nov. 13th at 9AM, we plan to get together at Eastern Ave Self Storage to clean up the remainder of the tent structure and move the damaged dory to the dory shop. Many hands make light work, so please join us for a couple hours. Bring a rake or a sawzall if you have one.
We were fortunate that all the dories weren’t in the tent when the tree fell and we plan to rebuild the damaged boat, but we can use your help. See you Saturday!!
