Dave says,

Well, another summer shot to hell. I’m needing all this week to recover from last weekend’s grueling gigload. Nearly made $150 for three nights’ work. Things are looking up! We’re going to razzmatazz you this thursday with the likes of Mr. Andrew Clark, the tootin’ Torquemada of the tenor. Thrill to the dentist drill-like sorties from one of the most pre-eminent sax tootlers in the New England area. A.C.’s the man! Whether he’s crooning yer favorite toon or just outgassing to the boogie beat, you’ll find something to pray for.
Pushing the beat behind him will be one of my personal faves, Mr. Forrest “Gump” Padgett. Or, “Frosty” as we refer to him. I don’t know why. Someone left him here one night and we can’t figure out how to get him home!
Of course, all you air glitar heads will be happy to know that, yes, Greg T. will be there, too, as well as myself.

Johnny Carwash Joins Fly Amero This Wednesday Night.

Prime Rib Specials!
Wednesdays Only!
Hello everyone!

Wednesday, August 31st
Special Guests:
JOHNNY CARWASH!

Bob Davis
and his great band, JOHNNY CARWASH
will be bringing authentic american surfer-style guitar music
to the Rhumb Line this week. It is perhaps a lesser-known
fact these days… Bob represents a MAJOR chapter in the
long-term history of Gloucester’s rock/pop music scene. He
was around BEFORE the Beatles emerged – back when Jason
Chamberlain started what might’ve been Cape Ann’s very
first rock band, The Galaxies in the early, early 1960s. Davis
was (and still remains) a true master of the Ventures “twang”,
bending the neck of his Fender Telecaster into shapes and
contortions unintended and unimagined by its manufacturor.
Dinner with Fly Amero: 8 – 11pm
*Each week features a special, invited musical guest
Dave Trooper’s Kitchen…
Prime Rib Dinner –
$9.95 (while they last)
Prepared fresh weekly by “Troop”… always good!
Upcoming:
Sept. 7: JOHN ROCKWELL

Sept. 14: ORVILLE GIDDINGS

Sept. 21: HENRI SMITH

Sincerely…
I hope to see you there! 🙂 ~ Fly

Dave Sag’s Blues Party @ The Rhumb Line to host Diane Blue

O.K.,Froggy , it’s time to plunk your magic twanger! Hiya, kids, hah-ah-ah…we got a really big shew for ya this week, so let’s get started….
Starting off Thursday nite, we’ve got Ms. Diane Blue returning to our stage at the Rheum Line. One of our personal faves, she’ll be hootin’ and tootin’ her harp all nite long and singin’ all those groovey toonz that make you wanna dance. She’ll be backed up by that inimitable drummnambulist Mr. Roger Brocklebank, he of MADHOUSE fame. Of course, Greg T. and myself complete this foray into the unknown. Might have a srecial guest or two, too.

http://dianebluemusic.com/index.html

Some more news,

AND, on Friday nite, it’s the melting of the minds at the Studio on Rocky Neck, as the carpet remnants of  the Geezerz lay down the cool grooves to the boogie beat. DM is still recovering from back surgery and Dave Brown is going in for a brainstem bypass proceedure, so, we’ve added Steve Sadler and “L’il” Steevee Chagarris to the mix of Greg T. and myself. Highly explosive, I might add. Drinking, dancing, and keeling over starts at 9 pm.
AND FURTHERMORE, Saturday nite sees the return of John Keegan ® and MADHOUSE to the Madfish Grill! Johnny and his ants will all be there gnawing on the pilings and filling your head with dervishness from 9 pm onward. Come see Cardinal Cushing anoint him with Oil of Ofay! The best summer weekend you’ll never remember!

Dave Sag’s Blues Party @ The Rhumb Line to host Ricky “King” Russell

Thursday – 9:00 to 12:00 ~ Dave Sag’s Blues Party

Well, will surprises never cease? This Thursday I’m proud to present The debut of the one and only Mr. Ricky “King” Russell to our stage at the Rhumb Line. In case you’ve been sleeping under a rock, this is a big deal. Ricky is the most premier Blues practicizer in the whole New England Scene. Glitarist, vocalist, and frontman, this cat does it all with aplomb and panache. Haven’t seen him in years and now our paths collide again! Sparks will fly!
The man responsible for this is the auteur drummnambulist, Mr. Edd Scheer, one of our personal faves. He’s hipped me to the coolest cat that is what am, and I believe it. He’ll be beating those eggs and slinging words all over the place. Of course, Greg T. and myself will be there, too, filling out the wasteline. You snooze, you lose. Make a date! and come early  for Fred and Troop’s Cajun surprise menu.
And this Sunday, it’s the Ipswich musical mind melt, once again, as Mr. Mark Earley fastens electrodes to  the likes of Tom Palance on trumpet, Roomful ‘o Blues keyboard wizard Travis Colby, and Myself on the stage of Stone Soup for another great night of musical mayhem. I can’t wait!  Make your reservations now cuz the place fills up fast! Rheumer has it that many katz and kittenz in the jazz and blooz scene are ripe and comin’ down for your glistening pleasure, so, tie yourself to the mast and have a ball. Hours 6 to 9. Don’t be ell- seven!

Well, I’ve just about recovered from last week’s musical onslaught perpetrated
by the ghosts of New Orleans past, and I’m ready to lick my wounds and hobble
onward to the next big show. So, for your glistening and dancing pleasure, I
bring you Mr.Justin Quinn and his merry band of miscreants. Ace harpist and
vogargler,J. and the boys are frequent guests here and are sure to give you ants
in the pants. He always tears up the place.
Helping him out will be his longtime glitarist and doppleganger, Mr. Jon Ross. Jon’s a multigrain musician, proficient on at least 13,000 instruments, but we’re holding him down to guitar, this time. Li’l “Steevee” Chaggaris will be doing drumm dooties, scrambling eggs and cackling like a hen, as usual. Of course, Greg T. will be back with his
newly blocked hat, and me, too, on bass.
And don’t forget, it’s Cajun night on Thursdays. Fred and Trooper bring you the finest Creole dishes at a reasonable price to give you that xtra burst of whoop-de-do for the dance floor.
