IMG_6452_tonemappedI had to go to Chester, NH yesterday for a gig at a private party. I grabbed my camera for the ride up but did not have much time to shoot. I shot these photos in RAW format and converted to HDR (High Dynamic Range). This was kind of a quick way as HDR is better with multiple exposures.

The tide is in, anon is out,

Nor lingers at the turning;

And man, as restless as the sea,

Its thriftlessness is learning ;

Two busy brothers gathering in,

And having gathered, spurning.

The waves bring pearls upon the shore,

Yet on the shore no pearls there be :

For fortune varies ebb and flow,

And with the waves’ monotony ;

For hopes, like pearls and shells, come in,

But with the tide go out to sea.


Gloucester Cyclocross Grand Prix 2009

IMG_6293It turned out to be a great day 2 of the Gloucester Grand Prix Cyclocross race held at Stage Fort Park. Here are the Elite men taking the start for a punishing 1 hour race.

New GMG Photo Contest!!

American Express © recenty ran a TV ad that showed pictures of both smily face and sad face images made up of everyday things we might see. I thought this would be a great way of getting the creative juices flowing for all you photographers. As with the other contests, please submit one photo, either sad or happy to mlindberg1@mac.com. The deadline for the photo contest is Monday October 5th 2009. Voting will open the following day.

Now I know you could all stage a smily face or sad face but please try to be creative and use things that are natural. If you do stage the photo, please be creative and try to make it look as natural as possible.
