Flowers

The flowers on the Boulevard, get more and more beautiful every time I walk Stacy Boulevard.  The colors are amazing, and we need to thank Generous Gardners every day.

Footprints in the Sand

Good Harbor on Wednesday afternoon was clear and crisp.  Taking a walk on the beach takes all the stress of the day away.  Grateful.

Sunset at Magnolia Pier

Walking at sunset is one of my favorite things to do, especially in fall.  Shore Road has many people strolling with their dogs and kids, enjoying the fall weather.

Jinx Day at Marshall Farmstand

This Saturday is our 2nd Annual Jinx Day!! This year’s Jinx Day we are raising money towards the family of Rockport fire captain Andrew Porter who passed away unexpectedly this past May. He served the Cape Ann community as a part of the Rockport fire department for 25 years as well as being a father of his two young daughters. 20% of all farm stand sales this Saturday will go to their family, so please come show your support.

Today’s Farmer Bob Deal of the Day is $1 off Centerville pies, Real Deal stuffed clams, zucchini and summer squash per lb, and Cindy’s Kitchen and Brianna’s salad dressings. Only with your Farmer Bob Card

Is it September 28th or July 28th

On Sunday went over to Wingaersheek Beach for a walk.  Of course I had my bathing suit on just in case.  It was crowded with beach chairs, umbrellas and swimmers, including myself.  The weather was amazing and the water was warm.

Glorious

Friday afternoon near the Magnolia Pier

Taking a walk on Shore Road on a early fall day.   Butterfly, enjoying the calm waters in a skull and fishing off the float.

Safety Day 2025

Fun and more fun at Safety Day on Saturday.  Harbor Loop was full of people enjoying themselves.  The first responders who were there, talked and explained the different examples of safety.  One the favorites was Spot the bomb denotator.  The kids loved it.  The horses, K-9 dogs and helicopter were great.   Thank you all who participated.

September Sunsets

Blessed to be able to walk Shore Road with the sunset club in September, what a great way to end a Friday.

Sunny Monday on Shore Road

On Monday, the sun was shining, and the air was crisp.  The ocean and sky were matching blue.  Kettle Island in the background has many birds hanging out there.

Lone White Sail

Walking Shore Road on these beautiful fall days, the ocean and sky are so blue.  There was a small sailboat going by, all lone.

Gloucester Meetinghouse Foundation

Thank you, Ashley, from The Gloucester Meetinghouse Foundation.

The Gloucester Meetinghouse Foundation is honored to be presenting Trio Gaia, the graduate piano trio-in-residence at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, in concert at 7:30 p.m., Friday, October 10, at the Gloucester Unitarian Universalist Church in Gloucester, MA.

This is the trio’s debut in the Foundation’s 10 years of programming in the 1806 Meetinghouse, a historic landmark on the Gloucester skyline and cited in the National Register of Historic Places.
The award-winning trio’s program, titled “Convergence,” will include works by Nico Muhly, Leoš Janáček and Béla Bartok, concluding with Franz Schubert’s Piano Trio No. 2 in E Flat Major. It explores a theme of our times—conflict, both internal and external—and its resolution through music. Grant Houston, Trio Gaia’s violinist and spokesman, said, “This program offers a reflective parallel to today’s world, where divisions and struggles for resolution continue to shape our collective experience, and the search for unity persists despite discord.”

Cellist Yi-Mei Templeton and guest-artist pianist Alexa Stier will be joining Houston. The trio is the Conservatory’s most recent graduate piano trio-in-residence, performing nationally and abroad since 2018, including in Panama and Japan. Trio Gaia won first prize at the WDAV Young Chamber Musicians Competition in North Carolina and honors at other competitions.

Tickets are available at http://www.gloucestermeetinghouse.org or at the door. The Meetinghouse is at Middle and Church Streets in Gloucester, The location is most easily found via GPS using the address, 50 Middle Street. Limited parking is available on the Green in front of the church, entered from Middle Street. Access for persons with disabilities is at 10 Church Street.

The Gloucester Unitarian Universalist Church traces its history to the 1779 founding of the first Universalist church in America, a rebellious congregation that played a timely role in development of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. The Meetinghouse Foundation is dedicated to the building’s preservation and use for and by the community.

A beautiful clear day

Amazing clear and beautiful fall day on Sunday.  The boulevard was full of walkers and beautiful flowers.

2 donkeys

Adorable new creations by Gloucester’s talented artist, Kris Francis.  I love the donkeys’ ears.  Kris told me it takes a long time to do each of these fun creations.  Remember Kris uses recycled metal on his wonderful sculptures.

Autumn Shadows

The shadows of fall were evident on Thursday on Shore Road with the view of Eastern Point Lighthouse.  Grateful
