Clark Pond/ Reddish Egret

Walking through the Coolidge Reservation the other day came across a beautiful Reddish Egret.  According to Wikipedia a Reddish Egret is a small heron.  It is a resident breeder in Central America, Bahamas, Caribbean, the Gulf coast of the United States and Mexico.  There is post-breeding dispersal to well north of the nesting range.  In the past, this bird was a victim of the plume trade.  According to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, there are only 1,500 to 2,000 nesting pairs of Reddish Egrets in the U.S. and most of these are in Texas.  This beautiful bird is classified as “threatened” and receive special protection.

Savour Wine and Cheese

Rick and I went to Savour Cheese and Wine the other night.  What a great spot.  Please check out a couple of pictures of a very fun experience. Savour Cheese and Wine is located at 76 Prospect St., Gloucester, MA, at the corner of Pleasant St., across from St. Ann’s church.  Tasting is complimentary always and anytime.  They have their own parking lot in the back.  For more information please feel free to call 978-282-1455.

Olin College from Needham, MA

What a cool project for these smart kids from Olin College.  There will be 19 different teams competing.  Sounds like a fun time.  They were down at the Maritime Gloucester, I would like to thank Damon for letting me know they were there.
