West Gloucester

My wonderful hubby gave me an early Christmas present, a Sigma 100-400 mm lens.  Decided to go over to West Gloucester and try it out.  Love going by this pond in West Gloucester.  So pretty and peaceful.

Magnolia Community Farmers’ Market

This is our chance to show off what we have been working towards all summer: BUILDING A BETTER MARKET! We will be making our pitch, along with 3 other teams seeking a grant. The trustees will vote and decide if our hard work and NEW IDEAS are worthy of a $1000 no-strings-attached grant! Our team has worked so hard this summer to bring Magnolia a fresh and exciting new farmers market, and if you are on this mailing list, it means we couldn’t have done it without YOU! The trustees encourage us to invite our supporters to join us at the Gloucester House to cheer us on! With this grant, the MCFM hopes to be able to improve our website, reach out to more food vendors and farms and work to achieve WIC and SNAP accreditation so that we can BETTER serve our shoppers and the community! If you don’t have plans this Thursday, come on down to the Gloucester House and show your support for the Magnolia Community Farmers Market!

I was at the Lowell’s Boat Shop in Amesbury Saturday for their Fall Haul and Mighty Merrimack Rowing Race.   I was excited to see the Gloucester Gig Rowers come in first place in their category.   Congratulations!

Rockport Harvest Festival

On Saturday, October 19th from 10a-5p we will host the annual Rockport Harvestfest celebration featuring the best regional bounty of the season — all in an unbeatable setting.

New England food producers gather on one of Rockport’s historic working wharves to celebrate the best of #localfood with fresh #lobster #chowder #pastries #grassfedbeef #woodfiredpizza, #coldpressedjuice small-batch jams, locally-grown #produce and more. #craftbeer produced in Massachusetts are on hand, along with Rockport’s own Twin Lights, with soda crafted from the 120-year-old company’s original recipes. Cooking demonstrations take place throughout the day demonstrating the riches of harvest in #NewEngland. Entry to wharf free; drink bracelets $5 – please come and enjoy the bounty of the season!

Harvestfest features plenty of live #bluegrass #jazz #folk #indie #rock #cookingdemos and plenty of activities for #families

Harvestfest is funded in part by the sale of $5 drink bracelets that will be sold at the entrance to T-Wharf. Proceeds help to ensure that Harvestfest continues! Don’t drink? We appreciate all donations and will have special Harvesfest pins available, as well. Looking forward to celebrating with you!

Splash Over on Stacy Boulevard

It was incredible around 1:00 on Thursday.  The photos are a little shaky since I was almost taking flight.

Wow what a Thursday

Trees down, wires hanging, extremely windy, cable out but the ocean certainly does not disappoints.

These photos were taken at low tide.  Crazy
