Congratulations Gloucester!

Gloucester won the America in Bloom “Outstanding Achievement in Flowers” award yesterday during the organization’s annual symposium! Generous Gardeners nominated Gloucester for our beautiful flowers in public spaces that continuously bloom for three seasons. America in Bloom is a national organization that supports community enhancement through beauty, pride in heritage, and volunteerism. Kudos to our Gloucester community, city government, and Generous Gardeners. For more information about America in Bloom, please visit https:www.americainbloom.org.

Police station update

The DPW finished the retaining wall, moved boulders, prepped the hill and added loam. Today the Generous Gardeners completed stage one of plantings.

Police station embankment project

DPW has been building a retaining wall to prevent further erosion of the hill, as well as make the parking lot safer, especially in the winter.
