Cape Ann Emergency Relief Fund

Hi Joey –

I’m working from home and don’t have my log-in info for the community bulletin board. Could you share the link to this fund with your readers and network? We’re hoping to help as many people as we can.
We’re a community that really cares about each other. We’re also socially and economically dependent on each other. We need to do what we can to help. So here we are.
In response to the mandatory closures of businesses and lay-offs due to COVID-19, Action Inc. has partnered with the City of Gloucester, the Chamber of Commerce, and other municipalities to create theCape Ann Emergency Relief FundThe funds raised will directly support hourly workers in the service/hospitality/retail/entertainment industries.

Thanks Joey. Hope you’re doing well.

Questions about making facemasks for the local med folks from Susan O’Leary from Sassy Ecobags

Hi Joey,

Susan O’Leary here with SassyEcoBags.  I have an order to complete and then I plan to dive in to making facemasks for the local med folks. Do you know if there is a need in Gloucester and if these homemade masks are actually being used/helpful? Where is the most need? Is there a particular material I should use? Is the pattern with a pouch preferred over a mask without? Any insight is helpful. Thank you!!

gloucesterbookstore@gmail.com

Hi Joey,

It’s Arwen from the Bookstore! I hope you and your family are well and weathering these
crazy times! I wanted to reach out and ask if you could let your followers on GMG know
that we are open for phone or e-mail orders. I am doing curbside or free local home delivery
of books. I also have been ordering puzzles, sticker books and such for family entertainment.

I am planning on being at the store most days for calls and on our website,” thebookstoreofgloucester”
I have lists of store favs and updates on Bookstore happenings.

Thanks for all you do for our community and the support you offer!

Stay well, Arwen
