Maybe the best and easiest comfort food- Pastina chicken soup.

Warm up a quart of chicken broth on the stove add salt pepper and a twirl of EVOO. Bring to boil, add chunks of rotisserie chicken and a cup of pastina with a tablespoon of butter and a clove of two of minced garlic. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Ladle into bowl and drizzle EVOO and top with grated cheese. Yummmo!

Anyone else think the Police Station/Court/Police Parking Lot would be better suited up by Market Basket and that space turned into a four story parking garage?

You could have entrances on Main and Rogers St. it’s in the middle of Downtown. It faces the Chamber of Commerce, looks down at the Harbormaster office and transient dockage, Maritime Gloucester. Total No-Brainer iMO.

“Footbridge to the Heavens”

“Footbridge to the Heavens” …Every once in a while I come across a scene that is beyond words to describe. On this particular morning, I was taking photos at Good Harbor Beach when the sky opened up and cast these beautiful cloud patterns over the footbridge. Gloucester Fire Department Quickly Extinguishes Structure Fire

Chief Eric Smith reports that the Gloucester Fire Department responded to and extinguished a structure fire on Harvard Street on Friday afternoon.
On Friday, Feb. 10, at approximately 4:25 p.m., the Gloucester Fire Department received multiple 911 calls reporting smoke coming from a home at 10 Harvard St.
Engine 1, Engine 2, Engine 3, Rescue 1, Ladder 1, and Car 3 responded and arrived at the scene within minutes. Crews arrived to find a working fire burning under a porch of the home and quickly worked to get water on it.
The fire was knocked down by 4:37 p.m.
The origin and cause of the fire remains under investigation. There were no reported injuries. Damage was contained the home’s porch.
The Essex Fire Department covered Gloucester stations during the fire.
“Crews responded and knocked this fire down quickly, which is fortunate because gusty winds today could have made this fire grow rapidly if our response had not been as timely,” said Chief Smith.
