SeniorCare Inc. will hold a fundraiser at Jalapenos Authentic Mexican Restaurant, located at 86 Main Street in downtown Gloucester, on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, from 4:30 p.m. to closing. Jalapenos will donate a portion of all orders placed—both dine-in and take-out. Reservations are recommended. Call 978-281-3680. Please let them know that you are participating in SeniorCare’s Dine Out Fundraiser.

This series is offered for the beginner meditator, and all levels are welcome. This four part workshop will give you clear instructions on “how to meditate”. Pat will provide step by step practical guidance based on age old Buddhist wisdom and contemporary neuroscience.

The sessions will balance instruction, meditation practice, and time for questions. Each class will build on the knowledge gained from the previous class.

This complete workshop is four sessions, each session is ninety minutes.

Registration is required and this workshop is limited to 12 participants.

Tuesdays 6:00-7:30pm May 23, May 30, June 6 & June 13  $80

What to bring: a notebook and pen,  a yoga mat, and either a meditation cushion, meditation bench, 2 yoga blocks or 2 small throw pillows. We will have a few zafu meditation cushions on sale.

Spring Artists Honored at Rose Baker

Every two months, Juni Van Dyke, Director of the Rose Baker Art Program selects two artists from the program to have their works exhibited in the lobby of the Rose Baker Senior Center. For the spring 2017 exhibit, Juni selected two artists with very different styles: Judy Magee and Barbara Jobe.
