My View of Life on the Dock
We are called the “Fabulous Supersonics” and we are:
John Fatello – guitar and vocals. John was, most recently, the host of
the popular Open Mic night at the Franco-American Club in Beverly. He
has also backed up such blues luminaries as James Cotton and others in his career.
The band features veterans of local bands Quits, the Nor’easters and Points North. And the Diva, Westward Ho of the Diva Hos. We are covering tunes from Steely Dan to the Stones. Eric Clapton to Stevie Wonder. With a dash of Iggy Pop and Tom Petty.

The Dogbar is located at 65 Main Street in Gloucester. Rear entrance is
located on Rogers St.
Made my way over to Walt Kolenda’s Antique Shop @ 6 Lexington Ave. because I had my eye on these boots, but they were way to big : ( probably a size 10ish

Then low and behold I saw these beauties tried them on and SCORE! I love them. I bet they are close to a 9 but fit way better and cant wait to wear them out.
Here are a few more plus a wicked cool pair of I Dream of Jeannie slippers.
You just have to see these boots and shoes in person. You know, touch and feel. Tis a shame that they are not my size.
I found this sweet vintage necklace and had to have it. Saving it for dress up.
Oh, and take a look at this lot of wicked cute glass figurines. Some are so tiny.
The shop is set up very nice and so many items are up for auction. Like the poster says, (antiques, art, jewelry, boots, collectibles, small furniture, glass, china, metalware, rugs, lamps, postcards, ephemera and much more).- Enjoy your bidding!
Check out the website for more info and items.

Dave says,
It’s Snowbank Removal Week as temperatures threaten to climb into the Forties. I loved my forties, when I was at the peak of my insanity, rather than being the recondite cretin that I am now: talking to pigeons and wiping saliva off my chin. But enough about me: what about that finger in your eye music happening on Thursday? And that guy who had a seizure whilst skydiving? What’s the big deal? Happens to me all the time….
So, this Thursday let’s have a ball with a sorta new guy: Mr. Tim Gartland. He’s been here before. He’s really talented and deserves your rabid attention. Tim hails from Cleveland, where he was arrested for arson after setting the Cuyahoga river on fire. Now he’s gonna torch your cerebellum with his swingfoot style of harp and vogelsang. He’s got a really cool voice, sort of a cross between Arthur Prysock and Arthur Prysock. With hints of mint courtesy of Metamucil Pete, my street connection.
Backing him up will be that plisky, spoon-bending master of glitar, Mr. Jon Ross. Trader Joe’s secret weapon. Jon is one of my favorite musicians. Fluent on Guitar, bass and drums. drives a cool ’92 Buick Wagon, too. What’s not to like? Drums beaten by Mr. Jeff Casper, the friendly drummer. I’m on bass, trying once again to steal second. C’mon down and have a good time. It’ll be warm! You might even find a parking spot!
And, don’t forget: Next Monday The Old Saltys will be controlling the universe from our secret base hidden at the Rose Baker Senior Center in downtown Gloucester. From 1 to 3, we will be controlling transmission. You ought to see these guys before it’s too late and your prune juice stock tanks on NASDAC. I really mean it: it’s the best show in town. You’ll see….
Wed. March 4th, i’ll be hosting for Fly Amero at the Rhumb Line in Gloucester, Ma. and my special guest will be Danielle Miraglia..!!! she’ll be coming all the way from Somerville so show your support for this very talented up-n-coming artist…we’ll be pickin and grinnin!! 8-11 see ya there! x,o,allen

Dave says,
OK girls, lets get here pronto for the U.F.O. mass hysteria sighting of that age-old teen idol: Mr. Evan Goodrow. Front man, Qatarist mais non oui, oui,This guy will have you rocking on your crutches with his marvelous renditions of cult classics, nouveau blues, and Transylvanian folk songs. I sure do admire this man’s dogged nerve and rubber determination. E.G. is one of our faves around these parts, and a splendid show is suspected. We’ve hauled in Mr. Benny Benson, Our Irish Ace of Pace®, afloat since Dunkirk, to handle the the breast-beating. I’ll be on base, hoping for a sacrifice fly. So, put on that Hai-Karate® or Stetson™ and/or wrap dress (or Chinese shoes )and dance the night away while you think about yourself!

Dave says,
This Thursday! The magnificent reappearance of that Maestro of musical mayhem….Mr. J.B. Amero. Soaked in a strong solution of Merle Haggard and held up by a strong belt of scotch, this cat has the ability to make you spill a tear into your beer without dropping a stitch of laughter, or angst.
More so than most, he really brings this town together,as he has done for many years, despite the fact that his bell-bottoms no longer fit like they used to. He doesn’t need ’em anymore! We’re also dragging in Mr. Dave Brown,goo-tarist xtroidinaire and Dave Mattacks, pendulumatic pacemaker to make it all happen. A very special night! I do hope to see you all there, cuz like Dave Brown says: We’re nothing without you!
