Playing Hooky

Well I guess I wasn’t the only one playing hooky from mug up on Sunday morning. Look who I ran into at Todd Farm…

Sarah Kelly, The Roving Home at Todd Farm

Our very own Sarah Kelly!  (and her very cool Elton John shades)

Sarah Kelly, The Roving Home, Todd Farm

She had her beautiful Roving Home booth set up with her newest addition; Francie.  Francie was quietly sleeping in the shade and enjoying the fresh air.

I have to say sorry to my fellow GMG peeps. I miss mug up a lot because I have this vintage addiction and feel lost without my Sunday Todd Farm adventures! It’s kinda like crack. 🙂

Pet of the Week- Charles

Charles Pet of the Week Cape Ann Animal Aid

Hi!  My name is Charles and I am a one-and-a-half-year-old pup.
I act like a pup, but I am a small black-and-white dog who is small and fully grown.

I am staying at the Cape Ann Animal Aid located at the Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter, Four Paws Lane, Gloucester.

Please attend the Sunset Dessert Cruise on July 21 at Capt. Bill’s at harbor Loop at 7 p.m. Rain date on the 22. Tickets on sale soon.

Please visit CapeAnnAnimalAid.com and see photos of our new shelter, a list of items on our “wish list,” and more importantly, more photos of me.

Did I tell you enough about me?  Oh!  I am sweet and lovable and I need a little training, but I am quick to learn.  I am a boy pup who is a little Welsh Corgi Pembroke and a little Boston Terrier mix, a little bit of this and a little bit of that – like a buffet!

Maybe Alicia Pensarosa will adopt me!!

I would love to adopt Charles. He’s very handsome. I’ll have to discuss with my baby, Coconut, and see what she thinks.

I wonder if Joey might be interested in adopting me or another nice person at GMG?

Pet of the Week-Lucy

Dieting at Destino’s

I’ve been on a diet the last week and a half and really watching what I eat by tracking my calories and exercise in the “My Fitness Pal” app on my iPhone. I’ve actually been doing really well monitoring how many calories I have for each meal and not going over my daily limit of 1200.  I give myself plenty of calorie room for dinner, because hat’s usually when I use the most. Well, Destino’s eggplant parmesan sub and fries were no exception. I still to was able stay on track, but in order to eat this and not feel guilty I had to add some extra elliptical time.

The whole time on the elliptical all I could think of was this:

Destino's Gloucester Eggplant Parmesan Sub

Once I burned enough calories I let myself enjoy this Destino’s masterpiece and amazing fries. I estimated this to be a 900 calorie meal for small eggplant parm sub and 1/2 of the fries (please don’t tell me I went over). I hope I have your mouth watering and your legs moving all at the same time. I won’t eat like this everyday, but I think you have to give yourself a treat once in a while.

Miss Muffet – Pet of the Week

Miss Muffet Cape Ann Animal Aid

My name is Miss Muffet and I am a two-month-old
tiger kitten.   I am so excited because the Cape Ann Animal
Aid has moved into the new shelter at Four Paws Lane in
Gloucester at the Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter.
It is absolutely amazing.   We kittens have lovely rooms looking
over the woods and inside we have plenty of room to roam,
play and run.

We still appreciate friends stopping by with items such as
large trash bags, clean towels, paper towels and gas cards for our shelter van.

Don’t forget that the Rescue Reunion will take place at
Stage Fort Park on Saturday, June 2 from 10 a.m.  2 p.m. rain or shine.
Plan to attend this fun event!  I won’t be there because I will be at the new shelter
looking at myself in my gorgeous room at the shelter – and
I even have a mirror to see how continuously cute I am!

Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter-Ceremony

This morning I attended the ceremony for the new Cape Ann Animal Aid/Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter.  It was a beautiful morning, great turn out, and showed the great dedication from so many in our community.

Cindy Dunn, Sunniva Buck, Mayor Carolyn Kirk, Representative Ann Margaret Ferrante, Don Fryklund, and Camilla Rich all shared what this shelter meant to them personally and all the hard work involved.

And after the ribbon was cut, we were able to see the new digs for all the very lucky cats and dogs. Such a spacious, bright, and light filled facility with enough room to save many furry lives!

Kaleb-Pet of the Week

Good Day!  My name is Kaleb, I am a three-year-old tiger cat with a handsome black-and-brown short coat.  I love to be patted and brushed.  My special time of day is playing with the many toys that my friends here at the Cape Ann Animal Aid have given me.  You probably have heard that we are preparing to move soon to our new shelter located at Four Paws Lane in Gloucester!  Everyone is talking about how excited they are and grateful to our many friends in the community who have supported this important project.

The nice volunteer just asked me to step over to the computer and we went to online and visited: CapeAnnAnimalAid.com and I can see photos of the beautiful new Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter!

Wow!!  We will have so much more room over there, I can probably even skate board!

Gold Lobster

Anna Wintour, of Vogue, represents at the MET Gala with her Gold beaded Prada Lobster Dress.

I think Joey needs to stop by Prada, while in Italy, for a custom lobster dress for the Mrs.– minus the fugly fur.
